Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Driver
Department: Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Store Manager
Position Purpose
Plays a critical role in keeping the store running smoothly by accurately and safely receiving, organizing, and preparing product for customers and inter-store transfers. This role ensures the right product gets to the right place, in the right condition, at the right time.
Subordinate Summary
This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Job Results & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Receive, inspect, and process incoming product shipments quickly and accurately.
Verify shipments against packing lists and note shortages or damages on carrier documents.
Initiate freight claims when needed and report discrepancies to management promptly.
Match vendor part numbers with Johnstone stock numbers and store products in correct bin locations.
Pick, pack, scan, and stage orders for customer pick-up, delivery, and inter-store transfers.
Package products to prevent damage and follow all hazmat and shipping standards.
Prepare shipping documents including packing slips, bills of lading, and small-parcel manifests.
Load delivery vehicles and assist customers with will-call pickups.
Process customer returns and warranty items according to company policy.
Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, hand trucks).
Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazardous materials procedures.
Maintain required certifications (forklift, hazmat, internal safety training).
Delivery & Support (as needed)
Drive delivery truck/van to customer and store locations.
Perform basic vehicle safety inspections before driving.
Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Support customer service and counter sales when needed.
Assist with full inventory counts and special projects.
General Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma / GED (or equivalent experience)
Clean driving record
Professional appearance and conduct
Acts in the best interest of the company
Preferred
6+ months warehouse experience (wholesale preferred)
Forklift experience
Experience with barcode or inventory systems

Basic computer and inventory system skills

Basic math skills (counting, verifying, tracking)
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs repeatedly
